Mission:

Carry out the manufacturing batches in the department following the protocols in terms of quality and safety. Lead the interpretation of the technical procedure in the plant and the technical interaction with the manager

Responsabilities and accountabilities:

-Ensure the completion of the manufacturing batches, in compliance of the existing protocols. Contribute with the PTS team to create these protocols when new processes are internalized or transferred.
-Lead the process of manufacturing from: raw materials control and request, to instrument sterilization, media preparation, fermentation, downstream operations; in-process-control to formulation and filling. Follow-up of the quality deviations, contributing when requested from the manufacturing perspective.
-Communication with toll manufacturing sites for planning and follow-up of our production batches, ensuring the protocol fulfillment.
-Ensure the implementation of the Health, Safety and Environment System according to the company procedures.
-Ensure the implementation of the Quality System under EN-UNE-ISO 22716:2017 and GMP guidelines of ISO 22716, among other quality standards
 

Related skills:

Training / education:

-BS Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering with Bioprocess or Biochemical engineering minor, or equivalent.
-Understanding of the biochemical reactions in fermentative or biocatalytic processes.
-Mandatory good communication skills in English. 
 

Experience

-Experience in similar companies developing similar functions of minimum 2 years.
-Hands-on skills on fermentative processes (at least benchtop, desirable hundreds liter scale).
-Skills on downstream separation processes and unit operations.
-Experience in biocatalytic processes.
