We are currently seeking a Bio-Process Technology Development Manager, to join our Process Development & New Technologies team based in Zoetermeer, The Netherlands.We are seeking an ambitious and knowledgeable Bio-Process Technology Licensing Manager to join our team based in Zoetermeer, The Netherlands.In this role, you will be responsible for defining the strategy of the development team and executing development projects for Bio-Process Technology relevant to T.EN. You will also develop partnerships and client relationships to anticipate the commercialization of new licensed products, in alignment with internal key stakeholders in T.EN, Business line, and Strategy organization.You will collaborate with other technology experts in the department and across the Technology and Innovation (T&I) organization of T.EN. You will contribute to defining and adapting the roadmap for technology development relevant to (bio) conversion of renewable and circular feedstock to fuels, chemicals, and materials.Specific tasks in this role:

  • Identify and evaluate the benefits of new developments for enabling bio-processing technologies licensing and engineering support.
  • Early client engagement: Develop market opportunities for new products in collaboration with business lines, commercial organization, and external partners. In addition business plans for new technologies, set up the best possible strategy to validate and boost new products on the market, and create presentations of new technologies to customers and T.EN stakeholders.
  • Define research and development programs to demonstrate and commercialize these new developments and technologies
  • Find and develop partnerships with early adopters and identified technology partners/providers.
  • Work with the proposal team to identify opportunities for introducing new products. It also requires early strategy definition for proposals and frequent commercial/proposal review meetings.
  • Align with technology development roadmaps in the Development team and have daily discussions with the Technology Director to understand the needs in product and productization strategy. It also requires articulating the value proposition/benefit case of each new product and proposing improvements to increase product competitiveness.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in bio-process technologies and knowledge of topics such as energy and industrial processes. You will benefit from an environment in which discussions with process technology experts will help you focus on the most valuable developments.The role requires excellent communication skills, outstanding organizational competencies, and the ability to translate development and expose the business case and business model to the business development colleagues across the global T.EN network.   • Master’s degree with advanced engineering/technical and commercial experience, depending on the segment and the scope
  • Background on bio-processes and bio-technologies is a must
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in process technology engineering or technology development
  • Preferably, you have led a technology licensing/partnership activity for one or several technical disciplines or technologies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English and preferably in Dutch as well
  • Good knowledge of legal aspects of technologies and on market and competitor technologies for a specific domain/segment
