We pride ourselves on fostering a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability.Role OverviewWe are seeking a strong candidate for the position of Billing Team Leader. This individual will be responsible for leading a team of up to 10 members who support billing operations in European offices. The role involves collaboration with Finance teams and Partners across the region. The primary objective is to effectively delegate tasks, develop and motivate the team to deliver high-quality services, and achieve performance goals. The ideal candidate should be an expert in customer service with the ability to handle escalations, and the capability to lead others.Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the team acts according to current operating procedures and the firm’s policies.
  • Serve as the escalation point for the team.
  • Play a leading role in establishing objectives and KPIs for the billing process.
  • Manage people (performance, recruitment, development, promotions, recognition).
  • Lead the implementation of new solutions and systems.
  • Manage the team’s resources and coordinate the monthly workload to ensure timely and efficient support for assigned offices.
  • Support billing projects and campaigns.
  • Shape the top quality of service levels.
  • Report and present team performance against established objectives and KPIs.
  • Establish and formalize cooperation with offices, ensuring the needs of Partners are fulfilled.
  • Collaborate with other teams (Finance, IT, Risk, Financial Systems, AP, etc.) to stabilize operations.
  • Follow and support the identification of business opportunities to expand the scope of the team’s work.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in finance or 2-3 years of team coordination experience, ideally gained in a law firm or other professional services firm.
  • Obligation to work two days a week from the office.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
  • Understanding of Elite or 3E and the billing process (advantageous).
  • Leadership and developing others.
  • Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills, including active listening and positive interactions at all levels within the firm.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer-facing skills.
  • Focus on effectiveness, efficiency, and automation.
  • Responsive to challenges and adaptable to changing circumstances.
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills.
