As Bid Manager you’re part of the PPP (Public Private Partnership) team within the Business Unit BESIX Invest.Your main tasks include:
- Taking responsibility for managing all aspects of PPP/DBFM Bid submissions;
- Review of tender documentation;
- Managing bid teams for major proposals, acting as the first point of contact;
- Set and maintain high standards in bid quality, in both the process and end products;
- Act as a significant contributor to a successful bidding process during which you lead the negotiations;
- Establish winning bid teams for individual major proposals, working with technical staff, clients, partners, suppliers and external stakeholders, consultants & architects;
- Coordinates and stimulates interaction between the different field of expertise involved in the bid process such as design, construction, finance, legal and maintenance in order to optimize the bid.
- Liaison/coordination with the various functional departments such as design, planning & methods, plant & equipment, legal & contractual and estimating;
- Liaison with Joint Venture (building an maintain companies) and/or Consortium Partners (co-investors);
- Assistance with the preparation of final bid documents;
- Attending meetings with prospective clients during the tender period and post tender submission;
- Working closely and providing commercial support and contractual advice to Project Managers in the start-up phase.
Qualifications
- You have a Master’s degree in (Civil) Engineer/Architecture, Economics or Law (or equivalent by experience).
- You have a relevant experience in project and bid management (minimum 3 years) ;
- You are an experienced individual with a comprehensive knowledge of the contractual, legal and financial aspects of a project ;
- You speak fluently Dutch and have a very good understanding of English; Other languages such as French are an asset;
- You are able to work under pressure and to meet deadlines;
- You can work closely with all members of the project team if necessary, you’re a real team player;
- You are able to deal with a large number of tasks simultaneously;
- You possess strong communication and coordination skills, business development skills and excellent written and verbal communications skills;
- You’re positive and have a focused attitude;
- You have a team spirit but are able to work independently;
- You are able to react to and manage change;
- You have proven commercial and negotiation skills with a high level of energy and a commitment to professional excellence;
- You are flexible an willing to travel occasionally when needed for the project
