This operational entity of ENGIE has the ambition to be a key enabler of the energy transition towards a carbon-neutral economy!For Performance and Project Management (“PPM”), in Flexible Generation Europe, we are looking for a BI Developer.YOUR CHALLENGE as BI Developer

  • As BI Developer you enable a data driven organization, which creates value from data. You are responsible for the support of our power plants and the management in their decision making by providing them easy accessible, fast available and high quality reports.
  • Your working area as BI Developer is the Flexible Generation Europe.
  • You are part of Business Information Management (“BIM”) team located in Brussels, Belgium. In your function as BI Developer you report directly to the head of the Business Information Management team.
  • You will interface with Flexible Generation and Retail GBU operational areas, support teams and the ENGIE Group.
  • Translate business needs to technical specifications.
  • Design, build and deploy BI solutions (e.g. reporting tools).
  • Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting.
  • Evaluate and improve existing BI systems.
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate systems.
  • Create visualizations and reports for new or existing projects.
  • Assist with reports and data extraction when needed.

YOUR PROFILEMUST HAVE

  • Familiarity with BI technologies (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, Palantir or Tableau)
  • Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform
  • In-depth understanding of database management systems and ETL (extract, transform and load) framework
  • Graphical design skills
  • Ability to take initiative and be innovative
  • Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
  • You like to work closely together in a small team
  • You have an excellent command and fluency in English. Any other language is a plus
  • You have a strong and environmental awareness. You always take responsibility for the health and safety of yourself and your colleagues!

NICE TO HAVE

  • Proven experience as a BI Developer
  • Industry experience
  • Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • Project management experience
  • Knowledge of Sharepoint
  • Knowledge of Azure
