Ryanair is Europe’s greenest cleanest airline group and customers switching to fly Ryanair can reduce their CO₂ emissions by up to 50% compared to the other Big 4 EU major airlines.The RoleWe are looking for a BI Data Engineer to work in a multi-disciplined team, working alongside Developers, Data Scientists and DBAs. The role will allow you to develop and implement wide ranging solutions for the entire business.Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or equivalent work experience.
  • Min. 3 years data engineering experience
  • Must have experience with Spark – ideally using Databricks
  • A strong understanding of cluster configurations, spark UI and general spark performance optimization is highly desirable for this role
  • Extensive experience using Databricks in multi-cloud environments, particularly across Azure and AWS is highly desirable
  • Solid understanding of modern data architectures (i.e., data warehouse, data lake, data lake-house etc.)
  • Experience with Data Warehouse modelling/Relational modelling.
  • Experience with every step of the data engineering lifecycle (i.e. ingestion, storage, transformation, serving) with a modern data stack
  • Experience with serving data for front end BI applications, data scientists and software engineers
  • ETL programming skills, including experience with large code bases, complex data structures, and a variety of BI development tools
  • Experience with cloud solutions particularly Azure. GCP & AWS is also a plus
