In this volunteer job you will have the opportunity to try your hand at coordinating efforts locally and make a big difference. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the Danish Cancer Society’s work in the fight against cancer a…April 6, 2025 is the date when the Danish Cancer Society holds the National Fundraising. On this day, we stand together in a strong community, when over 16,000 volunteers throughout Denmark go from door to door and raise money for the cancer cause. Each volunteer in the National Fundraising has a personal reason for joining – some are relatives of a cancer patient, others are cancer patients themselves or have lost a family member or close friend to cancer. Regardless of the reason, the effort is extremely valuable for our common fight.In Give we are currently missing one or more people who want to make a concrete and visible difference in the fight against cancer. We are looking for you to be responsible for organizing the collection in Give in 2025. Nationwide, we have more than 1500 volunteers who organize the collection in their own city. Would you like to be one of the valuable collection leaders and in this way help give hope to those who are affected by cancer every day?That’s why being an area manager is an exciting task:

• you get to coordinate an important activity that has great significance in the fight against cancer

• You will make a concrete difference to the cause of cancer for the benefit of patients and relatives – and for the benefit of yourself.

What does it require of you?The most important thing in order to help us is that you want to join in – we’ll do the rest together.You will receive good guidance and tools to solve the task, and you will have the opportunity to join a digital community with other volunteer collection leaders who are responsible for the collection in their city. We have online start-up meetings in February and March, where we share experiences, good advice and you will receive guidance in the task.As a fundraising manager, you can largely plan your own time, and you decide how much time you want to spend on the task.We hope you will be willing to help us, so that Give again this year can be part of the National Collection.
