The role of Catering Assistant is referred to internally at Sanctuary, as General Assistant.
The role of Bank Catering Assistant will include:
-Helping to prepare meals and drinks, following food hygiene standards
-Working with customers, families, advocates, and staff to ensure a high standard of services
-Undertaking general duties as assigned, such as maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen, communal areas, and customers’ flats
-Identifying and reporting potential faults and hazards on site, to maintain a safe environment
-Maintaining stock levels, restocking as required and ensuring equipment is used in line with guidance notes
Skills and experiences:
-Some experience of working in a catering/hospitality environment is desirable
-Working knowledge and experience of undertaking general cleaning duties is desirable
-Good interpersonal and customer service skills
-A general understanding of health and safety in the work place
-NVQ2 in Hospitality & Catering, or willing to work towards is desirable
