Bank Care and Support Assistant

Tollemache Respite, 31-33 Tollemache Road, Prenton, CH43 8SU

£12.60 per hour

Sanctuary Supported Living is delighted to be recruiting for a Bank Care and Support Assistant at our CQC Registered, Learning & Physical Disabilities Service, Tollemache Respite Service.

The role of Care and Support Assistant will include:

-Delivering sensitive care and expert support to our customers
-Encouraging resident integration and inclusion into the community
-Promoting a positive culture by engaging with residents to prevent social isolation
-Promoting safe practices and undertaking risk assessments
-Managing and implementing safeguarding principles to ensure the safety of our customers
-Sleep-ins (as and when required)
-General cleaning and cooking
-Keeping accurate and up-to-date records

Skills and experiences:

-Personalised approach to care, ideally with experience of working in a similar, care related role
-Enthusiastic and flexible with a strong “can-do” attitude
-Strong organisational skills as well as functional literacy and numeracy
-Ability to react quickly to changing priorities whilst working to deadlines and targets
-NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards
