Job Overview

This role focuses on the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of patients with neurological and neurosurgical conditions. The Band 6 Occupational Therapist will manage a complex caseload and play a pivotal role in helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

* Handle a diverse caseload of acute neurological and neurosurgical patients.
* Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized rehabilitation plans for patients with neuro trauma and other neurological conditions.
* Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, and medical staff.
* Apply specialized occupational therapy interventions to facilitate recovery and support patient rehabilitation.
* Continuously monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
* Educate patients, families, and caregivers about rehabilitation goals and long-term management strategies.

Requirements

* HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist.
* At least 2 years of post-registration experience, with expertise in neurological and neurosurgical rehabilitation.
* Proven ability to manage a complex caseload in an acute setting.
* Experience in neuro trauma rehabilitation is highly desirable.
* Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
* Capability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
* NHS or equivalent healthcare setting experience.
