Band 6 Histology Technician

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform routine histopathology laboratory tasks with a focus on microtomy sectioning (standard, mega, singles, levels, and cores).
* Carry out routine H&E staining using Leica Spectra.
* Ensure quality control and maintain high standards in specimen processing.
* Assist in the preparation and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
* Collaborate with team members to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations and laboratory protocols.

Essential Qualifications:

* Relevant qualifications in Histology or Cellular Pathology.
* Experience in histopathology laboratory procedures, particularly in microtomy and staining.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols meticulously.

Desirable Skills:

* Familiarity with Leica Spectra staining systems.
* Previous experience in a similar role within a busy laboratory environment.
* Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
