Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Backend Developer to join our dynamic team, working closely with esteemed Italian clients on data-centric projects. The role primarily focuses on the backend, leveraging Java and SQL relational databases in web development. It also involves utilizing AWS cloud services and serverless architecture to build, deploy, and manage scalable applications. The candidate will also work on significant projects in the advertising sector, requiring an understanding of business logic. 

Responsibilities: 

• Develop and maintain backend components of a web portal using AWS stack, Java/Spring Boot, and SQL technologies;
• Collaborate with senior developers to understand client requirements and translate them into technical solutions;
• Work within Linux environments, ensuring efficient data processing and management;
• Participate in Agile Scrum processes to ensure timely delivery and high-quality output;
• Learn and adapt to new technologies, focusing on cloud environment (AWS) and serverless architecture;
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure project alignment and success, utilizing tools like Confluence and Jira. 

Qualifications

• Familiarity with AWS environment and willingness to learn serverless architecture and the broader AWS ecosystem;
• Proficiency in Java programming and basic knowledge of SQL relational databases;
• Familiarity with Linux environments and basic command-line operations; 
• Familiarity with GIT and GIT workflow;
• Understanding of object-oriented development, MVC, ORM, main design patterns and REST APIs; 
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment;
• Eagerness to learn and apply new technologies and tools. Good communication skills in English (daily English calls); 

Education and Experience: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field;
• 1+ years in a similar role (AWS/Java/SQL development) is a plus.
