Job Overview

Preqin is seeking a creative, enthusiastic AVP of Segment Marketing, ESG to join our rapidly growing global marketing team in London. We are one of the first companies to develop data-driven solutions for the private markets and as such, we are looking for a forward-thinking leader to join our fast-paced, collaborative marketing team. We balance creative problem solving with data-driven insights to produce measurable results for sales and clients. The ideal candidate will have experience developing go-to-market strategies, is customer focused, highly collaborative, and has a proactive approach to getting things done.

The AVP, Segment Marketing for the ESG Solutions business will be responsible for go-to-market planning, cross-functional projects, and global marketing campaigns that deliver on commercial goals. Reporting to the SVP, Head of Segment Marketing, you will work closely with sales, product management, strategy, research, and content teams to align plans and ensure the vision, strategy, positioning, and messaging for new and existing products is clearly communicated throughout the organization and into the market.

We’re looking for a hands-on leader who can act as an individual contributor while managing a small team. A successful AVP, Segment Marketing, ESG will be able to understand the needs and motivations of our target audience and synthesize information into audience-first messaging, marketing materials that drive demand, and successful product launches.

In this role you will:

  • Lead, develop and refine the GTM strategy for ESG products in the market, ensuring the value proposition, positioning, and messaging resonates with target personas

  • Build and execute marketing plans leveraging email, content, press, partnerships, events, social media, and other marketing levers to establish and grow product demand and client adoption

  • Project manage marketing campaigns and initiatives, ensuring campaign tactics remain aligned with commercial goals, campaigns are delivered on-time, and ROI is achieved for the ESG Solutions business

  • Develop go-to-market materials including collateral, pitch decks, one-pagers, competitor guides, videos, sell sheets, and FAQs in collaboration with product, sales, and the broader marketing team.

  • Measure and analyse the effectiveness of marketing programs (campaign results, ROI, web analysis, evaluation of KPIs) and communicate results to internal stakeholders

Key Requirements for this Role:

  • 6+ years experience in a product marketing role

  • Proven GTM launch experience, devising campaign/project plans and effectively managing timelines

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to think strategically and problem solve

  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail

  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills

  • Creativity in approach to the job, specifically with generating new ideas and formulating marketing plans

  • Experience influencing senior executives and driving consensus across multiple stakeholders with diverse priorities

  • A global mindset: ability to adapt to audiences in multiple geographical regions

Desirable Requirements:

  • 8+ years of marketing experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or communications

  • Prior experience in financial services and/or sustainability experience, including sustainable finance and environmental, social & governance (ESG) data preferred

  • Experience with Salesforce and marketing automation software

  • Takes initiative, embraces ownership, and willing to go above and beyond without being asked

  • Flexible and willing to change priorities based on business needs
