4th November – Program startWe offer a permanent contract for this role.Job DescriptionEssential ResponsibilitiesOMLP is a 2-year development program consisting of:Three 8-month rotational assignments that allow members to have hands-on leadership experience and build supply chain technical & management skills across Avio Aero’s plants in Italy.Global trainings to become proficient in lean operations & supply chain management.Leadership & Personal Development coursework to develop leadership skills and build connections with GE Aerospace Development Program member throughout the world.There are 3 mandatory rotational assignment types that every OMLP will undertake:Technical (e.g., quality engineer, manufacturing engineer).Sourcing/Materials Management (e.g., buyer, contracts administrator, logistics specialist).Shop Operations Supervisor (e.g., people leader of shopfloor operators).During these rotations, an OMLP typically will:Collaborate with their Assignment Leader in setting and achieving realistic and challenging goalsPlan and perform assigned tasks aligned to the business’s priorities and core tenets of safety, quality, delivery, inventory & productivity (SQDIP)Demonstrate ability to understand and apply operational and technical fundamentals in the business environment using analytical and problem-solving skillsDevelop cooperation and teamwork while leading diverse groups in the development and implementation of team goalsGenerate innovative ideas and apply change best practices to ensure impact of key initiativesParticipate in Kaizen events and learn & apply lean with a focus on continuous improvementOMLP graduates are expected to be advanced in supply chain operations and project management with experiential growth in lean principles. These skillsets will position graduates to compete on a series of challenging roles driving business results and progressing as leaders in Avio Aero.Domestic relocation is typically required while on program.Qualification/RequirementsMaster’s Degree in Aeronautical or Aerospace, Mechanical, Energy, Materials or Management Engineering from an accredited University or college6-24 months previous junior experience (e.g., co-op, intern), preferably in manufacturing/Global Supply ChainEnglish and Italian fluency, written and verbalGeographic flexibility and global mindset with a willingness and ability to work in any of Avio Aero’s 4 manufacturing locations in ItalyDeep passion for aviation/aerospace plus strong commitment for a career in Global Supply Chain/ManufacturingStrong interpersonal and leadership skills coupled with the ability to connect with all levels of the organisation showing openness, transparency & humilityAble to own a/o coordinate many tasks concurrently with high execution & follow-throughStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to breakdown the issues and formulate plans to address and rectify situations in a fast-paced environmentAbility to solve problems and make meaningful change benefiting our customers, people, and organisation in a team/manufacturing environmentWork Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is requiredDesired CharacteristicsPrevious working experience at Avio Aero will be considered as a plusPrevious study or working experience abroad will be considered as a plusPrevious work experience in aviation/aerospace will be considered as a plusWhat we offerSmart working and work life-balanceAvio Aero, when possible, promotes remote work and encourages a good, healthy and satisfying work-life balance.
