As an AV Specialist placement student at BUas, you will join our Marketing, Communication & Student-community (MC&S) service, specifically working within the Audiovisual (AV) team. The AV team is responsible for all photography and video productions created for external purposes. These productions cater to internal clients such as the student recruitment team, the Executive Board, and colleagues from various domains.Your role as an AV placement student will involve a diverse range of tasks. One day, you might be working as a camera operator or photographer, or you are managing audio during a recording. On another day, you could be involved in video editing, subtitling, and creating eye-catching thumbnails. We also highly value your creative vision, and you will be actively involved in brainstorming sessions and concept development. As you gain proficiency, you will be assigned your own projects to be executed from start to finish.What do we offer?

• This is a placement of 20 weeks, from September 2024 up to and including January 2025;
• You will receive a standard compensation depending on your academic level (€175 per month if you are a student in senior secondary vocational education (MBO) and €70 per ECTS credit if you are a student at a university of applied sciences (HBO) – based on a full-time working week of 40 hours per week);
• You will get the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic higher education environment;
• You get to work closely with experienced professionals in the AV field;
• Exposure to a wide range of projects and clients.

What do we ask of you?

• You are not afraid to take on projects independently;
• You are assertive and comfortable approaching people;
• You like to take active part in brainstorming sessions;
• You have a flexible attitude regarding task assignments and work hours. Occassionally, you may have to film or photograph an evening event;
• You will be working in an international and intercultural setting. Therefore, excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Dutch are a necessity.
