The site will receive new molecules for production where the support organization including Digital Technologies (IT and Automation) plays a significant role in the transfer of molecules to the site.This position requires presence in Denmark.About the department
You will be part of the DSM IT & Automation Expansion projects and you will join a team of highly skilled colleagues within the IT & Automation department. You will be dedicated to a specific process area where you will be able to find support from experienced engineers. We are not afraid to include young engineers in the team who can contribute to a dynamic team.
The team supports new construction projects on site to expand the capabilities and implementation of new technology including fully Electronic Batch Record system. The role will also include support and integration into existing operations to understand the processes being transferred to the new facility expansions.About the roleYour tasks (not limited to):

  • Implementation of new DeltaV systems to support expansion projects on site.
  • Support IT/Automation infrastructure installation and deployment
  • Verify system configuration of DeltaV procedural & physical model from system integrator for expansion projects in accordance with FDBD schedules and project milestones
  • Review and revise User, Functional, and Process Requirement Specifications for the Automation Systems being implemented
  • Troubleshoot DeltaV code and functionality for Validation and Production systems supporting Upstream and Downstream manufacturing processes
  • Collaborate with our design/construction engineering partners in relation to automation design, ensuring that FDBD’s requirements are satisfactorily reflected in the design and that design deliverables are provided timely.
  • Collaborate with FDBD Instruments and Controls, Process Engineering, and CQV parts of the project to develop robust Automation solutions.
  • Participate in quality activities like Design Qualification and test activities.
  • Work as per defined procedures and ensure a validated state for automation systems.

QualificationsYou may have some or all of the following:Professionally:

  • B.Sc. degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., Electrical, Automation, Controls, Computer, Chemical Engineering)
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in Automation Engineering
  • Experience with DCS (DeltaV preferred)
  • Experience from the pharmaceutical industry
  • Knowledge of batch processes, GMP, GAMP and the S88 standard
  • Language skills: English as a minimum, Danish is considered an advantage
