A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Automation Engineer to join a UK known food manufacturer in the Somerset Area!

With no day ever being the same the Automation Engineer role offers genuine long-term progression and career development within a first-class organisation.

Role & Responsibilities:

* Maintenance and development of PLC Systems and SCADA Systems.
* Maintaining current functioning control systems.
* Enhance the SCADA system by creating Dot Net, ActiveX and .dll programs
* System updates and firmware updates.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

* Good working knowledge of IT networking – NAT, ACL’s
* Conversant with Rockwell control Logix plc’s and SCADA Systems
* Experience in Windows programming
* Knowledge of VMWare vSphere virtualization
