Offer DescriptionGrant/funding reference: OTR1824Job title: Battery capacity studies with materials from Resonac GBU.:TASKS TO BE PERFORMEDThe candidate will carry out research tasks within the LISTE Group of the UDC.TAREAS A REALIZARThe contractor will carry out research tasks within the LISTE Group of the UDC. The objective of this contract is the evaluation of graphite as an active material in the anodes of lithium-ion batteries. To this end, the candidate will use equipment for the production of electrodes, as well as for the production and testing of button batteries (CR2016). The candidate will also evaluate its morphology, chemical and structural composition, as well as its lithium intercalation capacity. The candidate will coordinate the characterization of materials (XRF, XRD, LLS, SEM, EDX), through the Research Support Services (SAI) of the UDC, and will carry out mechanistic theoretical studies (DFT, postHF).JUSTIFICATION OF THE DURATION OF THE CONTRACTThe contract is indefinite, although the current funding covers 12 months.Where to apply WebsiteRequirementsResearch Field Chemistry Education Level PhD or equivalentResearch Field Physics Education Level PhD or equivalentSkills/QualificationsDegree of Doctor in Chemistry, Physics or equivalent.Additional InformationEligibility criteriaSELECTION CRITERIA– Academic record of the degree of Doctor in Chemistry, Physics or equivalent: up to a maximum of 10 points that will correspond to a grade of 10 in the academic record (on the typical scale 5-10).– Doctoral studies in the field of Physical Chemistry: 10 points– Experience in research tasks in the field of characterisation of functional materials: up to a maximum of 20 points at a rate of 5 points per project carried out in this field.– Experience with the experimental and theoretical techniques that will be used in the project (XRF, XRD, LLS, SEM, EDX, DFT, postHF) Up to a maximum of 20 points at a rate of 5 points for each technique with experience.– Scientific articles published (in indexed journals) in the field of Physical Chemistry will be valued, with 2 points per article, up to a maximum of 10 points.– Knowledge of English, up to a maximum of 5 points. Levels from B2 and research stays abroad compute the maximum points at a rate of 2 points per level.– Personal interview, among candidates who obtain a score of 65 points or more in the previous sections, in which motivation and interest in the lines of research of the LISTE group will be assessed. Up to a maximum of 25 points.The minimum grade to join the waiting list will be 65 points.The merits alleged by the participants must be documented and fulfilled at the end of the deadline for submission of applications.Selection processWHERE TO APPLY: UDC online services site.
