The Humanities Division in association with Jesus CollegeStart date 1 January 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter.The Humanities Division, in association with Jesus College, seeks to appoint an Associate Professor in Digital Scholarship with a Non-Tutorial Hugh Price Fellowship at Jesus College. This is a permanent appointment (subject to successful review during the initial period of office).We invite applicants who have a doctorate and an internationally recognisable academic record within the field of Digital Scholarship, along with experience of and a strong commitment to teaching, supervision and mentorship. Candidates will have, or be able to demonstrate the promise of, a distinguished record of scholarship and teaching at a level appropriate to their career stage, together with clear plans for research which demonstrate an ability and willingness to maintain that record. They should also have an ability and willingness to obtain external funding for individual or larger research projects.The main duties of the post are to conduct research of international standing in digital scholarship, to teach and examine a range of topics in the subject via lectures, classes and tutorials, to supervise graduate research students, to contribute to admitting, teaching and examining taught postgraduate programmes, and to perform administrative and mentorship functions associated with teaching and research.If you would like to discuss this post and find out more about joining the academic community at Oxford, please contact Professor Freya Johnston ( ), Associate Head of the Humanities Division.
