Offer DescriptionWarsaw University of Technology’s Faculty of Civil Engineering is seeking applicants for one full-time faculty position in . This position will be at the rank of Associate Professor may begin as soon as October 2024.The primary objective of this position is to conduct research on a mathematical modelling of materials applicable in civil engineering. This position would be responsible for teaching theory of elasticity and plasticity, strength of materials.Required Qualifications:1. Completion of higher education studies and obtaining a master’s degree in civil engineering or an equivalent title;2. Holding a Phd degree in the field of Civil Engineering, Geodesy, and Transportation;3. Very good command of English and Polish languages;4. Academic profile related to the scientific specialization of the Department of Material Strength, Theory of Elasticity, and Plasticity;5. Familiarity with issues related to mathematical modelling of materials used in civil engineering;6. Experience in conducting teaching activities;7. • Academic profile related to the scientific specialization of the Department of Material Strength, Theory of Elasticity, and Plasticity;
• Familiarity with issues related to mathematical modelling of materials used in civil engineering;
• Experience in conducting teaching activities;
• Desirable practice in an engineering design of structures and licence as Professional Engineer by the Polish Chamber of Civil Engineer;
• Very good knowledge of computer programs such as Abaqus, Mathematica
