Job description

Offer DescriptionLa Rochelle University is starting its recruitment campaign for tenured lecturer-researchers for the start of the 2025-2026 academic year!The candidate teaching obligation will be under the frame of the Biotechnology teaching Department and the Biotechnology Master of La Rochelle Université. Courses will be offered to BSc and Master students.The applicant will be responsible for the pedagogical organization of the courses dealing with molecular biology, fermentation processes, genic regulation in eucaryotic and procaryotic cells, genic therapy, molecular traceability. He/she will teach whatever the modalities (face to face teaching, project approaches and/ or practical courses). For all the courses concerned, he/she will develop an innovative teaching approach based on new pedagogical tools. The candidate will participate in the operational tasks assumed by the teaching team and take part in the teaching or administrative responsibilities relating to the bachelor’s and master’s degrees (responsibility for and coordination of teaching, diploma responsibilities, participation in juries and development boards, chairing juries, etc.) and, where appropriate, the management of training programmes.
The ability to teach in English is desirable.

  • Responsible for Licence : Pr. Valérie Thiéry ;

, * Responsible for Master : Dr. S. Bordenave-Juchereau,
, * Name of the director of the teaching department : Stéphanie Bordenave-JuchereauThe candidate will develop his/her research activities at the Institut du Littoral Urbain Durable Intelligent (ILUDI) at La Rochelle Université.The candidate will have to be part of a research dynamic thanks to his/her disciplinary expertise, while at the same time having a willingness to open up and decompartmentalise between disciplines. He/she will be open to building partnerships with socio-economic players in order to contribute to the development of innovation. He/she will have to demonstrate his/her ability to integrate into a project culture and to commit to the internationalisation of the university through the actions to be carried out in teaching and research.The recruited person will carry out breakthrough interdisciplinary research at the interface of the research themes of the BCBS and AMARE teams at LIENSs. The research activities will be integrated into the heart of the strategies developed by LUDI and at the interface of several of its challenges in an approach that can use solutions based on Nature and/or a ”OneHealth” approach. ‘. Organisms living in the coastal zone implement short-term (acclimation) and long-term (adaptation) responses to environmental disturbances, whether of natural (e.g., climate change) or anthropogenic (e.g., pollutants) origins. ). In this general context, the research activities of the recruited will aim to understand the molecular and cellular mechanisms of the responses of coastal organisms to environmental disturbances, whether natural or anthropogenic, responses including acclimation processes ( short term) and adaptation (long term).The research will make it possible to better predict the evolution of these response mechanisms in the face of various environmental stresses (e.g. oncogenic, endocrine disruption, toxins, etc.). One of the objectives will be to develop experimental models transposing laboratory observations in order to develop robust predictive models of stress in a natural environment. Particular attention may be paid to the use of natural molecules capable of regulating and restoring functional physiology. One axis could aim to exploit marine resources to identify and develop innovative natural molecules, capable of restoring functional physiology. This work could integrate biomimicry approaches and/or advanced technologies (e.g. omics) with a view to valorizing marine biomolecules in sustainable therapeutic applications.Participating in an interdisciplinary approach, the recruited person will contribute to a better understanding of the interactions between human, animal and environmental health, while participating in the development of innovative solutions to respond to global challenges. Its work, combining fundamental research and applied valorization, will strengthen the scientific and societal impact of LIENSs.
