Summary of Role:
At AIB, we’re making a difference to how businesses contribute to climate action. We’re aiming to make 70 percent of our lending green or transition by 2030 and we’ve set up a EUR30 billion climate action fund. Our Climate Capital segment is central to the delivery of these ambitious targets, investing in large scale renewables and infrastructure projects across Ireland, the UK, Europe and North America. This is the fastest growing area of the banks loanbook.
This is a unique opportunity for experienced individuals to join this high performing, ambitious team, as we build out our international platform and directly contribute to global climate action goals. We have exciting plans to expand our team at pace.
Key responsibilities for the role include:

-Proactively manage an existing Portfolio of customers within the Credit Policy framework of the Bank
-Writing credit papers for annual reviews and transaction amendments
-Monitoring of Covenant compliance and review of ongoing financial and non- financial information provided.
-Proficiency in reviewing and understanding Financial Statements and Financial models with an ability to provide clear analysis of key risks and mitigants
-Ability to review Legal documents, Technical reports and Construction/Operational updates from customers or advisors
-Enhance relationships with new and existing customers with good communication and customer focus
-Ability to manage and help develop more junior staff members
-Ensure compliance and administration obligations are satisfied to a high degree
-Form an integral part of the risk management culture in AIB and adherence to codes of conduct, laws and regulation
-Collaboration with other parts of AIB including AIB UK, Treasury and Operations Teams

-Relevant 3rd level qualification
-3+ years’ experience within a similar area which could include Banking, Advisory or Industry
-Strong Financial Analysis, Strong credit skills and Proficiency in financial modelling
-Analytical mindset and results focussed
-Team player with strong communication and influencing skills
