This Position reports to:

Field Service Manager

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Each day, you will deliver quality customer service to satisfy customers. You will also showcase your expertise by displaying clear understanding of the sense of urgency and care in your own area of responsibility.

This role is contributing to the Robotics and Discrete Automation – Service and Digital Platform Business Line in Sesto San Giovanni (MI).

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact, as you will be accountable for:

  • Restoring the functionality of the robots, dealing with electrical, mechanical and software problems and filling out a detailed service reports.
  • Informing the Field Service Coordinator and the Sales Engineers about possible technical improvements seen/discussed with the customer on-site.
  • Providing technical support via emails/phone from the office.
  • Using the company’s IT tools to record support and service activities.
  • Complying with the company’s Safety and Integrity procedures and standards.

Qualifications for the Role

  • You have diploma/degree in a technical field, preferably in mechanics, electric/electronics, information technology;
  • You have willingness to travel extensively (by car, mainly in Italy);
  • You have a good knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel;
  • You have a good knowledge of English language, both written and spoken.
  • You have strong analysis skills and the right attitude for problem solving. You are able to manage repair visit on-site alone and you are comfortable managing the relationship with the customer.
