This is a once-in-a-career opportunity to join a global legal team integral to a company engaged in cutting edge technology and focused on solving some of the biggest challenges in the world – including changing the way regulators, courts and legislators think about the future of mobility, delivery and beyond.We are looking for a dynamic lawyer to join our legal team to provide legal advice for our delivery business in Spain and France (with a primary focus on Spain). The position is based in Madrid while working in close collaboration with colleagues from across the globe, and reporting into the lead counsel for Iberia.What You’ll Do

  • Advise on a broad range of commercial and regulatory issues related to delivery in ways that are practical, commercially-focussed and future thinking
  • Draft and negotiate key strategic contracts with restaurants and delivery partners
  • Liaise with outside counsel and prepare case strategy with them
  • Counsel Consumer Law-related matters and disputes
  • Work closely with our Employment, Policy, Tax, Communications, Privacy, Safety, Insurance, Antitrust, Corporate and Business teams to support regulatory engagement, strategic projects and to refine and shape business operations
  • Advise our Marketing team on award winning campaigns and initiatives
  • This is a hands-on role and you’ll be expected to handle significant and complex legal matters with short turnaround times

What You’ll Need

  • 4+ years PQE in a law firm and/or in the legal team of a multinational company, primarily focusing on commercial Law, consumer law, and/or regulation of the delivery, mobility and/or hospitality sectors
  • Spanish fluency (native speaker)
  • Fluent in English and French
  • Active bar registration in Spain (if additionally in France, also a plus)
  • Solid experience in providing legal advice both on national and international matters
  • Excellent legal and business judgment, communication, interpersonal skills, and a crisp writing style
  • Proven track record of drafting and negotiating commercial agreements and advising on a range of commercial, regulatory and litigation issues

  • Demonstrated effectiveness operating in complex organizational environments with strong stakeholder management skills and self-starter qualities
  • This is not your typical in-house role; it is a dynamic, fast-paced environment and needs a candidate who is agile and able to juggle multiple projects, re-prioritize quickly to address shifting business needs and be a pro-active solution-driven lawyer that thrives in high impact/high profile situations
