(CALLING ONLY APPLICANTS WITH BOTH DUTCH & ENGLISH LANGUAGE SKILLS)Associate Business Developer will have a crucial role in supporting the sales performance of the team by identifying new leads, both new and from existing clients.This role is ideal for recent graduates looking to kick-start their careers in sales within the deep-tech innovation space. You’ll be working with the latest technologies that have the potential to create new markets or disrupt existing ones, addressing big societal and environmental challenges. One day you’ll talk to the CEO of a startup company with a promising innovation such as a nuclear fusion company, the next day to a professor within one of the leading universities in Europe discussing precision fermentation.As business developers we work in teams of highly talented, studious people with different backgrounds. With our keen understanding of the funding landscape we put our clients in the best possible position to attract funding, empowering them to change the world for the better.Key Responsibilities:

  • Intensive network building with innovative companies and academic leaders in the field of deep-tech.
  • Developing a pipeline of strong leads that will convert into sales opportunities over time.
  • Establishing yourself as a trusted advisor in the deep-tech funding landscape.

Tasks:

  • First few months will be dedicated primarily to prospecting and relationship building.
  • You will be expected to make a high volume of cold outreach to potential clients and industry experts.
  • Build an in-depth understanding of deep-tech sectors, including green innovations and / or industrial technologies, and digital solutions.
  • Immediate sales results are not the primary metric of success; instead, focus will be on building a quality network and pipeline and supporting our business development teams.

Qualifications & Competences:

  • Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Dutch native speaker with excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English.
  • Networking abilities and the drive to continuously expand your professional circle.
  • High level of resilience and ability to maintain motivation in the face of frequent rejection.
  • Strategic thinking to identify and nurture high-potential leads for long-term success.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with both technical experts and business leaders.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently towards long-term goals.
