Company DescriptionROYAL98 has been a beautiful concept in the center of Amsterdam since October 2016, where Italian pasta, wood-fired pizzas and friendly service are central. Swissôtel Amsterdam is our neighbor and ROYAL98 is also responsible for the breakfast of the hotel guests as well as the room service. The restaurant is located next to Dam Square and the Royal Palace (hence the name ROYAL!) and opposite De Bijenkorf. ROYAL98 is within walking distance of Amsterdam Central Station and is easily accessible by public transport and bicycleJob DescriptionROYAL98 is looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager who is jointly responsible for the entire concept and day-to-day operational affairs.
The Assistant Restaurant Manager, together with the Restaurant Manager, is responsible for the overall management of the restaurant. He/she works within set frameworks and reports to the Restaurant manager and is responsible for the following tasks;
– Cooperating operationally and coordinating daily operational activities;
– Coaching, motivating and guiding the team;
– Co-responsible for efficient personnel planning;
– Assists in Recruiting & HR policy
– Ensuring compliance with the regulations (HACCP, House Rules);
– Co-responsible for purchasing and working according to the FIFO system;
– Co-responsible for the composition of the drinks menu and associated prices calculation
– Maintains contact with suppliers;The Starting day will be mid September or starting October.QualificationsCompetencies:

  • MBO level 4/ HBO work and thinking level;
  • You are enthusiastic, representative and communicative;
  • You enjoy a good laugh
  • You have at least 1 year of demonstrable managerial work experience in the hospitality industry;
  • You show leadership and are experienced in managing employees;
  • You are guest-oriented and have a sense of service;
  • You have a sense of responsibility and are flexible;
  • You have a proactive attitude to work;
  • You are willing to work alternate shifts as well as weekends, in short, you can be there when the industry demands it;
  • You have insight into the legal regulations in the field of safety and hygiene;
  • You have preferably knowledge of the Dutch and English language;
  • Knowledge of the allergen legislation;
  • You are available 40 hours a week.
