Offer DescriptionAssistant Professor to teach courses in the field of performance studies and contemporary theater within the Theater Studies program at the Aleksander Zelwerowicz Academy of Theater Arts in Warsaw.The duties resulting from the position of academic teacher are specified in § 19, section 1 of the Work Regulations of the Aleksander Zelwerowicz Academy of Theatre.Preparation and conduct of teaching classes, included in the teaching load referred to in §22, as specified in the curricula of first and second cycle studies, as well as uniform Master’s degree studies.Other tasks related to the educational process, including:

• conducting exams, assessments, tests, or other forms of verification of learning outcomes, as well as participating in commission exams,
• collecting and storing documentation related to the course of the students’ education,
• holding consultations,
• holding office hours,
• supervising student internships or overseeing such practices,
• supervising students studying under individual study organization with academic supervision,
• supervising scientific student clubs,
• participating in the observation of teaching activities. ,
• preparing students for participation in competitions, cultural and sports events,
• preparing templates for course descriptions (syllabi),
• timely preparation of USOS documentation,
• supervising students in the framework of international exchange programs.
• Developing or implementing innovative teaching methods;
• Disseminating the results of educational activities in the form of textbooks, scripts, and other educational materials;
• Activities aimed at ensuring the quality of education, including obtaining national and international accreditations for the institution;
• Acquiring or implementing educational projects, promoting science, or artistic creativity.

• The Academy provides:
• an employment contract for a full-time position (40 hours per week) with an initial contract of at least 12 months, and a teaching load of 240 hours
• a salary of 7,192.10 PLN gross as of the date of the competition announcement.

Eligibility criteriaThe competition is open to individuals who meet the requirements set out in the Act on Higher Education and Science as well as those specified in the Statute of the Aleksander Zelwerowicz Academy of Theater Arts, namely:

Selection process

• The selection committee reserves the right not to conclude the competition without providing a reason.
• The result of the recruitment is not equivalent to hiring the candidate but serves as a recommendation in this regard for the Rector. The final decision on employment is made by the Rector.
