Offer DescriptionWe are looking for a candidate for the Assistant Professor/post-doc position (in the group of research workers) in the Division of Strongly Correlated Electron Systems. A candidate is expected to conduct research (confirmed by publications in leading journals) in the field of synthesis and studies of new materials in which strong electron-electron interactions are present, and the thematic areas of the Advanced Materials Center.TASKS/ROLE

  • conducting research in materials engineering and thematic areas of Applied Materials Center, in particular in the area of design new materials in which strong electron-electron interactions are present
  • publishing results of work in leading JCR journals
  • co-mentoring MSc students

  • PhD in solid state physics or materials engineering or similar
  • PhD diploma obtained in the year of employment in the project or within 5 years before January 1 of the year of employment in the project
  • research profile corresponding to research conducted in the Division of Strongly Correlated Electron Systems. In particular: synthesis of inorganic materials, crystal growth of intermetallic compounds, structural studies by X-ray diffraction, physical property studies using the PPMS measurement system
  • research achievements confirmed by publications in leading JCR journals
  • interpersonal skills, fluent communication skills in English (B2)
