The successful applicant is expected to engage in research, teaching and organizational activities of the Department and the University.Keywords: forecasting, machine learning, PythonA successful candidate is expected to: * Conduct research in the field of quantitative methods in the discipline of Management Science.

• Publish research results in JCR-listed journals.
• Actively participate in research seminars, workshops and conferences.
• Initiate, raise funds and coordinate research projects.
• Be an able lecturer in Polish and in English, strive to raise the quality of academic teaching.
• Carry out organizational work for the Department, the Faculty and the University.

• PhD in Management Science, Economics & Finance, Computer Science, Physics or Mathematics.
• Practical knowledge of forecasting methods, in particular machine learning, and skills needed to implement these techniques in Python. The ability to leverage network computing and knowledge of deep learning methods will be additional assets.
• Significant publication record in the area of forecasting – a minimum of two published or accepted for publication (DOI required) articles in JCR-listed journals with IF

1 on forecasting using machine learning methods. * Experience in participating as a Principal Investigator or Investigator in competitively funded research projects.

• Active participation in international scientific conferences.
• Experience of university lecturing in Polish and in English.
• Proficiency in Polish and English.

b) An information on experience in reviewing scientific papers (number and type of reviews developed);
c) An information on work in editorial boards of national and international journals;
d) A list of teaching activities carried out (with an indication of the language of these classes);
e) An information on experience in the preparation of teaching materials (textbooks, scripts) and/or laboratory stations, number of promoted graduates, supervision of foreign students;
f) A list of academic and teaching awards and honours;
g) An information on organisational experience (in terms of organising and managing scientific and teaching activities);
h) An information on experience in spreading scientific awareness in society (popular science, technical publications; participation in Science Festival, etc.);
i) An information on the level of proficiency in Polish (in the case of foreigners), English and other languages (certificates);
j) Other important achievements.6. List of publications:a) A list of scientific publications, divided into articles in JCR-listed journals (with the current IF value), articles in non-JCR-listed journals, books and monographs, chapters in books, published conference papers and other publications (indicating output indexed in the Scopus/Web of Science database, having an Impact Factor or with a CiteScore);
b) The number of citations of the candidate’s scientific work (without self-citation) and the H-index, according to the Scopus and/or Web of Science database;
c) List of papers and posters at international conferences, workshops and seminars7. List and description of scientific internships

10. Declaration of the candidate that in the case of winning the competition, Wrocław University of Science and Technology will be the primary place of employment* (attachment.4)*If a competition is won by a person who is employed under an employment relationship with another employer conducting the following activities: research, research and teaching, research and development, implementation (except for cases specified in Article 125(3) of the Act), and the employment is not expired by the date of employment at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology as the primary place of work, this person, in accordance with art. 125 sec. 1 of the Act, taking into account art. 125 sec. 2 of the Act, is obliged to obtain the Rector’s consent for additional employment under an employment relationship with another employer after employing at Wrocław University of Science and Technology. If the competition is won by a person who conducts business activity, the requirement of art. 125 sec. 7 of the Act should be met.

After the competition procedure is closed, the applications of persons who have not been accepted for work will be returned, provided that they were sent by traditional mail.
