Offer DescriptionReference no.: PB3/W3/10/2024 .Faculty/Unit/Organizational unit: Faculty of Chemistry/Soft Matter Optics Group, Wrocław University of Science and Technology.Position description: The candidate is expected to conduct scientific research and publish its results, be active in obtaining grants and engage in the organizational work of the Faculty of Chemistry. Scientific topics cover a wide range of issues related to the production of modern two-dimensional materials, such as graphene, transition metal dichalcogenides (TMD) or MXenes. The characterization of the obtained materials will be based on the use of modern microscopic techniques (e.g. transmission electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy) and spectroscopic techniques (Raman spectroscopy, UV/VIS, FTIR), which enable precise structural, chemical and electron analysis. Particular attention will be devoted to the applications of these materials in the area of ​​modern technologies, including catalytic processes and sensory systems. Specific Requirements

  • have a habilitation degree in chemical sciences
  • have significant scientific achievements, confirmed by articles published in peer-reviewed international scientific journals, regarding the preparation of modern two-dimensional materials for applications in catalysis, electronics, optics and energy storage
  • have proven experience in acquiring national and international research projects
  • have scientific experience gained during internships in foreign research centers
  • have good knowledge of Polish and English, both spoken and written
