assistant professor in a group of research and teaching employees in the in the Department of Engineering Processes Automation and Integrated Manufacturing Systems at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, 2A Akademicka St.Job description:
1) the competition for the position of assistant professor is open to persons who meet the requirements specified in the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 742, as amended) and the Statute of the Silesian University of Technology of 3 June, 2019 (Legal Monitor of SUT of 2020, item 339 as amended),
2) estimated work commencement date: 01.10.2024,
3) workplace and type of contract: Department of Department of Engineering Processes Automation and Integrated Manufacturing Systems at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, full-time contract of employment,
4) period of employment: from 01.10.2024 to 30.09.2026 (with the possibility of extension).Requirements:
1) at least a doctoral degree in the area of the discipline of mechanical engineering,
2) substantive participation in a research project financed by other than a subvention,
3) publications in international scientific journals, as well as documented achievements in the field of promotion and popularization of science,
4) at least two-month foreign internship or six-month domestic internship in scientific-research, industrial or local government units,
5) fluency in Polish (applies to candidates for whom Polish is not a native language),
6) knowledge of English language to the extent that enables communication and conduct of classes.Additional requirements:
1) at least 1 publication (author or co-author) in a scientific journal included in the list of scientific journals and peer-reviewed materials from international conferences constituting an attachment to the announcement of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education or obtaining a patent (regarding the last 24 months),
2) participation in research or service works or submitting an application for funding a research project, e.g. at the National Science Center, National Center for Research and Development (within 12 months of the date of employment),
3) experience in teaching classes in the field of: Industry 4.0, automation, robotization and digitization of production processes, drive techniques in industry and drive mechatronics,
4) experience in the field of mechatronics of drive systems,
5) experience in running a student scientific club.Required documents:

3) documents confirming completed scientific internships,
4) a declaration of active knowledge of a modern foreign language,
5) declaration of knowledge of the Polish language (applies to candidates for whom Polish is not a native language),

8) an individual development plan along with the schedule of its implementation during the employment period,
9) opinion on the candidate of at least one academic teacher with the academic degree of habilitated doctor,
