We are seeking a skilled candidate that can develop innovative and original research programmes to address current and future challenges in the high-volume manufacturing of polymers and composites. In particular, the candidate should be able to demonstrate research excellence in areas related to process simulation, property and failure prediction, and sustainability and design. A research theme of particular priority for this assistant professorship is the development and implementation of robust predictive tools for manufacturing processes and associated properties of discontinuous fibre composites in high-volume applications such as the automotive industry.We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis, even where a position is advertised as full-time, unless there are operational or other objective reasons why it is not possible to do so.About YouAs well as having demonstrable experience in initiating and managing research projects across international boundaries, you will be a strong communicator and have an exemplary and innovative approach to teaching and curriculum development. You will also have a visible track record of publishing and presenting your own research to a wide audience.
