Law on Higher Education and Science and, in accordance with § 165 of the Statute of the Jagiellonian University, meet the following eligibility criteria:– have at least a doctoral degree;– have relevant scientific achievements;– take an active part in scientific life;– have experience in teaching.Specific Requirements

  • scientific achievements including the major publications in molecular biology, including those related to cancer research,
  • at least a good knowledge of biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biotechnology,
  • practical knowledge of cell culture techniques, including culture of cancer cells, microscopic methods to analyze cell biology, molecular biology techniques for the analysis of gene expression and cell signaling,
  • experience in working with laboratory animals (mice) and experience in the use of histological techniques,
  • documented fluency in spoken and written Polish,
  • documented experience in conducting classes in Polish with students in the fields of biology/biochemistry/biotechnology,
  • a very good knowledge of the English language, confirmed by a certificate or other achievements, which enable conducting classes with students and participation in scientific research activities in this language.
