Offer DescriptionCOMPETITION 1The Rector of the Warsaw University of Live Sciences- SGGW in Warsaw annoucesa multi-stage competition for the position of Assistant Professor in a group of research and teaching staff in the field: social sciences or humanities in discipline: sociology at the Institute of Sociological Sciences and Education in the Deparment of Sociology and Education.The candidate applying for the above-mentioned position must meet the requirements specified in Art. 113 of the Act of July 20, 2018, Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668), in § 89 point 3 of the SGGW Statute.RequirementsResearch Field Sociology Education Level PhD or equivalentSkills/QualificationsThe candidate is expected to have:– at least a doctoral degree in social sciences or humanities in the disciplines of sociology;– the existence or co-authorship of at least four scientific monographs or chapters in monographs or scientific articles (including at least two in scientific journals) in the field of sociological sciences, which are published in journals or monographs included in the list valid for the year of their publication (on the possession of ) in § 87 section 1 and 4 of the SGGW Statute);– obtaining at least 240 points for scientific publications in the last 2 calendar years (in accordance with the point provided for in the published regulations);– positive opinions of the medical commission for teaching on the conduct of teaching classes, and in the case of persons applying for employment and who are not employees of SGGW– issuing an opinion by scientific inspectors for a scientific paper presented at a supervision seminar in the case to which the management concerns;– at least a good knowledge of English or another congress language, basic independent writing of scientific publications in this language and presenting reports at scientific conferences;– application or implementation of a research project, scientific research or work or investment related to education and scientific activity, maintenance of scientific and research equipment, research item (SPUB) or special IT equipment (SPUBi), financed under competitions by foreign institutions or international organizations and institutions or, through WULS-SGGW, institutions for the provision of official services (KZL) on responsible entities not belonging to the education and science system with a value of at least PLN 50,000;– using the Polish language in higher levels of teaching with students in this language;– experience in educating students.Specific RequirementsThe application for employment must be accompanied by the following documents:1) employment application addressed to the Rector of SGGW;
2) personal questionnaire (the form is issued by the secretariat of the Institute of Sociological Sciences and Pedagogy of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences or via e-mail);
3) scientific biography (self-report) and CV;
4) a statement confirming compliance with the requirements of Art. 113 of the Act of July 20, 2018, Law on Higher Education and Science (the form is issued by the secretariat of the Institute of Sociological Sciences and Pedagogy of SGGW or via e-mail);
5) a copy of the diploma certified as a true copy of the original at the SGGW Organizational Office/copy of the diploma/certificate confirming the award of the academic degree of doctor and/or habilitated doctor in the field of social sciences or humanities;
6) list of scientific achievements, including a list of scientific publications with the number of points;
7) confirmation of managing the research project/submitting a research project as part of a competition of institutions financing research, e.g. National Science Center (NCN), National Center for Research and Development (NCBiR), government administration offices, European Commission.
8) list of teaching and organizational achievements;
