Offer DescriptionWarsaw University of Life Sciences – Institute of Environmental Engineering of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences – SGGW is looking for an employee with the title of Ph.D. in the field of environmental engineering with a strong desire to improve their professional qualifications in this field, with particular emphasis on hydrology. The candidate will be responsible for conducting classes for students of Environmental Engineering and Environmental Protection in the field of hydrology, climate change impacts and mathematical modelling in English language. The candidate will also join the research project teams at the Department of Hydrology, Meteorology and Water Resources in ongoing EU and national (NCN-funded) projects in the respective fields.Where to apply E-mail[email protected]RequirementsResearch Field Other Education Level PhD or equivalentSkills/QualificationsWe are looking for candidates with the following characteristics: PhD in Environmental Engineering or Geosciences. Scientific interests in the field of hydrology, hydrological modeling, climate change impact assessment. Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English is required, enabling writing scientific publications, presenting research results at international conferences and giving lectures to students. Documented activity in applying for research projects is required. The candidate must demonstrate documented experience in teaching hydrology-related subjects at academic level. Proven expertise in hydrological modelling (both process-based and data-driven models), programming skills in R or Python and good skills in GIS and Remote Sensing are expected from candidates.Specific RequirementsExcellence in conducting research should be demonstrated by a strong academic track record (at least 10 scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals from the list of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education). In addition, candidates should have presented the results of their hydrology research at at least two international conferences.
