Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws 2018, item 1668 as amended) and the Statute of the University of Wrocław.RequirementsConditions to be met by candidates: * Leghold a doctoral degree in the field of the humanities, in the discipline of culture and religion studies or a related discipline.

• Proof of publication or certified acceptance for publication within the last four years of a research monograph or at least two articles in journals assigned to the academic discipline of Culture and Religion Studies and included in the ministerial list of bullet journals, equivalently two articles in reviewed collective monographs published in publications at ministerial list of bulleted publications.
• Knowledge of axiologically oriented theory of culture, philosophy of humanities, contemporary philosophy.
• Knowledge of the issues of the cultural dimension of religion, spirituality, ethics, memory (a.o. including studies on the Holocaust).
• Documented experience in teaching in higher education institutions and skills in this area (the jury reserves the right to ask the candidates for an open lecture).
• Knowledge of the Polish language (spoken and written) to the extent necessary to conduct lectures.
• Active knowledge of at least one congress language as demonstrated by participation in international scientific life: participation in scientific projects, foreign scientific conferences, presenting papers in the congress languages and publishing research papers in this language in foreign publications.

Additionally: * Knowledge of English to the extent allowing for the conduct of classes will be highly valued.

• Experience in obtaining external funds for the implementation of scientific research or the implementation of team research projects, certified by managing or participating in a foreign or domestic project, financed with funds obtained in domestic or foreign open competition procedures (including MEiN (formerly the Ministry of Science and Higher Education), Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, NCN, NCBiR or FNP), or a foreign scholarship or internship awarded in open competition procedures (including the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, NCN, NCBiR or FNP), or obtaining equivalent financial support for research from domestic or foreign institutions or submitting at least one application in grant competitions that was evaluated positively (in case of a known score achieving a minimum of 70%) in the last evaluation stage, but did not gain funding due to lack of funds.

ResponsibilitiesIn the research area: * Preparation of scientific publications appearing in nationally or internationally recognized journals and prestigious publishers.

• To acquire research funding on an individual basis and in collaboration with others.
• Active participation in conferences.

In the teaching area: * Conducting classes with students of the BA and MA degree studies (also in English).In the organizational area: * Fulfilling duties related to organizational work for the Department of Cultural Studies.

• Promotion and popularization of science.
