U. z 2018 r., poz. 1668) and the statutes of the University of Wroclaw.The candidate should meet the following criteria: * Possess PhD degree in Chemical Sciences.

  • Possess documented experience (publication record) in the research on non-covalent interactions.
  • Possess documented experience (publication record) in the research on systems of biological relevance and diverse condensation states (gas phase, solvent models, crystalline phase).
  • Possess documented experience (publication record) in the methods of classical and ab initio molecular dynamics, metadynamics, methods of electronic structure analysis and interactions energy decomposition.
  • Possess documented research experience in the methods of computational molecular spectroscopy.
  • Have carried out a scientific stay connected with one of the research areas indicated in the point 2 – 5.
  • Possess competences in the area of machine learning, deep learning, including neutral networks, together with ability to use respective informatics tools (machine learning libraries, e.g. TensorFlow), carry out data analysis and create databases.
  • Possess abilities of functional and object-oriented programming in popular programming languages (e.g. Python, C++).
  • Possess experience in academic-level teaching of subjects connected with application of computers in chemistry.
  • Possess English language knowledge in speech and writing, at the level allowing the Candidate to teach courses in English, write publications and grant applications.
  • Possess Polish language knowledge to the extent that it is possible to conduct classes in this language.
  • Possess documented experience in organization of scientific conferences.
  • Possess documented experience in activities related to the science popularization.

Responsibilities:Didactic responsabilities * Teaching, especially courses related to the advanced methods of applications of computers in chemistry, and the use of artificial intelligence methods (laboratories, seminars, lectures).

  • Supervision of undergraduates (MSc and BSc candidates).
  • Taking part in the teaching and organizational activities aimed at schoolchildren interested in chemistry.

Research responsibilities * Carrying out research in the area of theoretical description of non-covalent interactions of diverse strength (hydrogen, halogen, chalcogen, pnicogen bonding etc.) using static and dynamical methods.

  • Investigation of systems with biological and material science relevance, with application of computational chemistry, including interaction energy decomposition schemes (EDA, SAPT).
  • Carrying out numerical experiments on the impact of nuclear quantum effects on the molecular properties.
  • Carrying out studies on metaloorganic compounds and reaction path modelling, including the context of catalytic applications (static and dynamical models).
  • Development studies on application of deep learning methods in the area of molecular dynamics.
  • Development studies on application of deep learning methods in the area of molecular design of compounds with desired properties, including Computer-Aided Drug Design.
  • Development studies on the use of machine learning methods, including neural networks, in the database analysis, with emphasis on the chemometric and cheminformatic databases.
  • Regular publishing of the results in the journals of international scope, as well as int the national journals (science popularization).
  • Development studies on the application of computers in chemistry and the use of high-performance computers.
  • Applying for external funding for research, and establishing national and international cooperation, including relations with the socio-economic environment.
  • Taking part in the organization of scientific conferences.
