Offer DescriptionDean of the Faculty of Law and Administration University of Warsaw with the consent of the Rector of the University of Warsaw announces a competition for the post of assistant professor Chair of Commercial and Corporate Law research and teaching group discipline – legal sciences 1 full-time (fixed-term)Where to apply WebsiteRequirementsResearch Field Juridical sciences Education Level PhD or equivalentSkills/QualificationsThe candidate shall meet the following conditions:– A doctoral degree in the social sciences, in the discipline of legal sciences,– specialization in commercial law, company law or contract law;– a university degree in law with honors (summa cum laude);– ability to conduct comparative law research, in particular in the area of common law and German law, demonstrated at least in the dissertation;– ability to conduct comparative law research in the area of European model law (e.g. DCFR, PECL), demonstrated by at least one publication in a reputable legal journal;– proven scientific achievements in the field of private law in the area of civil law or company law in the form of published (including online) works of a commentary character and published scientific articles in reputable journals (min. 5 articles);– experience in preparing and submitting at least one grant application in the main competition of a foreign body funding international research of a bilateral nature, which was decided to be funded in foreign currency;– experience in raising domestic or internal funds to conduct foreign research (funding of research stays) in reputable European research institutions in the field of substantive civil law and company law, resulting in at least one 3-month research stay in the above-mentioned institutions within the last 4 years;– active participation in scientific conferences and seminars (list), in particular, leading conferences in the field of private law (e.g. congress of civil law chairs);– participation in another nationally recognized research team at a public university conducting advanced research in the field of private law;– the scientific experience of an organizational nature related to the organization of national and international scientific seminars, including scientific conferences of at least national scope;– teaching experience, including popularization of teaching methods in a teaching unit in a public university;– awards related to his/her work in a public higher education institution, in particular awards from the rector or awards of a scientific nature related to his/her professional career to date, granted in a public higher education institution also before obtaining the academic degree of doctor;– fluency in Polish (mother tongue) and English certified by an international certificate (level at least B2).in the research area: conducting research in the area of contract and commercial law, with particular emphasis on the issues of liability for breach of contract; conducting research in the area of Polish law, also in a comparative perspective; conducting research in foreign law insofar as this is necessary to carry out research in the area of liability for breach of contract, including the contract of a commercial company;in the teaching area: carrying out teaching activities in the field of commercial, possibly civil (contract) law, also in the field of administration studies;in the organizational area: carrying out administrative and organizational work concerning research and teaching activities in the Chair of Commercial and Corporate Law.Languages POLISH Level Mother TongueLanguages ENGLISH Level GoodResearch Field Juridical sciencesInternal Application form(s) neededpraca_adiunkt_wpia_kph_2grudnia – ANG.pdfEnglish(30.56 KB – PDF)Additional InformationEligibility criteriaCandidates should submit the following documents:– application for the competition / with a note of consent to the processing of personal data by the University of Warsaw, with registered office at ul.
