Type of contract: full time, fixed time contract of employment, 5 (or 6) monthsRemuneration: PLN 10,000 gross gross (ca. 5.750 net)/month, exact amount depending on formal qualification.Department of Ecology and Vertebrate Zoology at the Faculty of Biology and Environmental Protection, University of Lodz has a mix of national and international researchers and conducts scientific research in various fields, with particularly strong background in freshwater ecology.This position is funded by OPUS project (PI: Prof. Martin Reichard) on investigating how fine-scale variation in interspecific relationships affects the outcome of biological invasions across populations of interacting species. Using bitterling fish and an invasive mussel that serves as a host for bitterling eggs, the project uses field and experimental methods to test the importance of population-specific traits on the invasion success of non-native species. The candidate will replace the current postdoctoral researcher.
