Offer DescriptionThe Dean of the Faculty of Journalism, Information and Book Studies, University of Warsaw announced call for the position of Assistant Professor (full-time teaching) at the Department of Book and Media HistoryRequirementsResearch Field Communication sciences » Media studies Education Level PhD or equivalentSkills/Qualifications

• PhD diploma in the field of social communication and media sciences,
• Scientific achievements and expert/professional experience in the field of audiovisual communication, including the history and the present day of feature films – confirmed by publications, speeches at national and international scientific conferences, participation in the implementation of projects and activity in organizations, societies and scientific bodies,
• Experience in academic teaching in the field of contemporary publishing, including publication design, history of the Polish media in the 20th century, including censorship, digital humanities and science studies,
• Increased activity in the organization of scientific and popular science projects (sessions, seminars and workshops) thematically related to feature films and documentaries,
• Good knowledge of languages: Polish and English.

Responsibilities: * Conducting scientific research in the field of social communication and media science and publishing their results also in international circulation;

• Teaching full-time and part-time studies for 210 hours. teaching per year, including exercises and laboratories;
• Readiness to perform the functions and organizational tasks entrusted to them at the Faculty of Journalism, Information and Book Studies.
