• if the candidate holds a doctoral degree in biological sciences or health sciences, additional education in psychology or cognitive science will be highly regarded;
• experience in research work (documented by publications) in the field of biological sciences or related fields, psychology, cognitive science, or health sciences; experience in interdisciplinary research at the intersection of biology and psychology/psychiatry will be an advantage;
• excellent knowledge and experience in the application of statistical data analysis methods;
• leadership of at least one research project funded from external sources or participation in research projects as an executor;
• teaching experience in conducting classes with students;
• very good command of the English language, allowing for the fluent writing of scientific papers, presenting research results at thematic conferences, and using specialized literature;
• very good command of the Polish language.

Eligibility criteriaOne can get total 0-40 points * scientific achievements documented by publications and their compliance with the research area competition requirements (0-20 pts);

• research projects managing (0-5 pts);
• participation in postdoctoral internships (0-5 pts);
• participation in research projects; participation in trainings and workshops; participation in conferences and scientific seminars (0-5 pts);
• experience in teaching at the academic level; compliance of the candidate’s teaching skills with the didactic activity of the Faculty of Biology; readiness to conduct classes in Polish and English (0-5 pts).

Selection process

• competition committee begins working no later than 14 days after the deadline for submission of documents;
• formal evaluation of submitted proposals;
• call to provide additional or missing documents if necessary;
• selection of candidates for the interview stage;
• interviews for candidates who meet the formal requirements;
• the committee has the right to request external reviews of candidates’ work or to ask candidates to conduct teaching assignments with an opportunity for student evaluation;
• the chair of the competition committee announces the results and informs the candidates; this information will include justification with a reference to candidates’ strengths and weaknesses; submitted documents will be sent back to candidates (not applicable for documents sent by e-mail).

• publications;
• research projects participation;
• trainings and workshops participation;
• conferences and seminars participation;
• consent to the processing of personal data as follows: In accordance with Article 6 (1) (a) of the General Data Protection Regulation of 27 April 2016. (OJ EU L 119/1 of 4 May 2016) I consent to the processing of personal data other than: first name, (first names) and surname; parents’ first names; date of birth; place of residence (mailing address); education; previous employment history, included in my job offer for the purpose of the current recruitment”.
