Offer DescriptionThe Dean of the Faculty of Animation and Intermedia at the Magdalena Abakanowicz University of the Arts in Poznan announces a competition for the position of Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Animation and Intermedia. • A doctoral degree in the field of musical arts;
• The candidate should have a documented artistic output in the field of musical arts as well as in the field of fine arts and the conservation of works of art, along with experience in conducting academic teaching related to the role of sound and music in animated films;
• The applicant must demonstrate significant creative achievements and teaching experience in the aforementioned areas;
• The candidate should have a portfolio in the composition of film music and the production of soundtracks for animated films and animation;
• Proficiency in English at a communicative level, both spoken and written.

Wielkopolski 9, 61-746 Poznań, by February 7, 2025. The date of receipt will be decisive.

The Magdalena Abakanowicz University of the Arts in Poznan reserves the right to invite only selected candidates for an interview without notifying the remaining applicants and to inform only the chosen candidate of the final result. Invitations for interviews will be sent to the email addresses provided in the application documents. The decision regarding the employment of a candidate is solely and exclusively at the discretion of the Magdalena Abakanowicz University of the Arts in Poznan and does not require justification.Selection processThe recruitment process includes: * Presentation of the candidate’s original works (or their documentation), particularly in the discipline in which the candidate intends to take the position.

• Presentation of the proposed studio curriculum.
• An interview with the candidate.

The selection committee will assess the candidates’ knowledge in the field of art, artistic achievements, and aptitude for teaching. Based on this evaluation, the committee will select the candidate to be appointed as Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Animation and Intermedia. The committee reserves the right to declare the competition inconclusive.Additional commentsThe individual selected through the competition will be required to obtain a relevant certificate confirming their fitness to perform work in the specified position. If such a certificate is not obtained, the University reserves the right to select the candidate who ranked next in the competition.Competition Outcome:
