8.Additional skills: Practical knowledge of the Assembler language or experience implementing algorithms using the Assembler language.
9.Additional skills: Knowledge of the principles of operation of particle detectors and measurement methods used in physical experiments.
10.Additional skills: Practical ability to write software for Xilinx FPGA systems.Specific RequirementsParticipation in the research project “Imaging based on gas electron multipliers under intense radiation from tokamak plasma” financed by the National Science Center under the OPUS program. The project is aimed at developing and testing gas detectors with an appropriate electronic system for data acquisition and processing.
The work in this position will concern the analysis of data received from the gas detectors being developed (GEM type, Gas Electron Multiplier) recorded by a multi-channel measurement system. The data will be sent via high-speed data links to the server unit, where they will then be processed by measurement algorithms.
The candidate’s participation in designing efficient data processing on the server unit is also planned. At the same time, the candidate will take part in work related to the effective distribution of data on measurement platforms, using network interfaces and disks for data recording.
The period of participation in the project is from 12 to 15 months, with the possibility of extension by another 12 in the event of extension of the project, giving a total of up to 27 months.Languages ENGLISH Level GoodResearch Field Physics » Other Years of Research Experience 4 – 10Additional InformationBenefitsIPPLM offers:
