JOB PURPOSE

Burberry is looking for an Assistant Product Technician to support our Pattern Team in pattern construction, amendments, and grading, assist in creating size charts, measure samples, and help develop new methods. The role involves collaborating with Design, Product Development, and Product Engineering teams in London, as well as the Technical department in Castleford, and other cross-functional teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES
-Based in Castleford with flexibility to work in Horseferry House, London, depending on business/seasonal demands.
-Receive information on new style launches from PD/Design/Product E teams and communicate it to relevant teams.
-Create, grade, and amend patterns from sketches, basic blocks, or reference samples for various styles and product types.
-Develop and adjust basic blocks for new styles and shapes requested by the design/PD team.
-Digitally create patterns in Lectra and Clo3D, and digitise paper patterns into the electronic system with all relevant details.
-Prepare patterns for manufacturing with necessary details, such as seam allowances, notches, grain lines, and labels.
-Support production to ensure quality standards and measurements are met and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop cost-effective methods.
-Update technical packs, create templates/markers, provide test samples, and support fit sessions and sample approvals.

PERSONAL PROFILE
-Minimum 3 years working experience as Pattern Cutter/ Engineer/Technician.      
-Digital pattern cutting experience is must. Modaris/Lectra Experience would be considered as strength.
-Strong knowledge in fit, body movement and body proportion.
-Clo3D – knowledge is advantage.
-Rainwear and outwear experience is an advantage.
