Assistant Financial Controller | Hotel Group | Gatwick (on-site) | Up to A£45k + service charge
I’m looking for an experienced Assistant FC to support a very successful Hotel and Property group operating several sites nationwide.
The Assistant Financial Controller will ensure the maintenance of effective controls and oversee the timely completion of management reporting for the hotel. This includes responsibilities such as month-end closing, Balance Sheet preparation, VAT Returns, Cash Flow management, and audits, all under the objectives set by the Finance Controller.
Responsibilities :
* Ensure the month-end P&L is produced on time, with all accounts accurately viewed and reconciled to reflect the Hotel’s true financial results accurately.
* Reconcile all Balance Sheet Accounts monthly.
* Liaise and co-operate with both internal audit and all External audit bodies.
* Ensuring that an effective program of on-property audit is in place.
* Assist in the preparation of Budgets, Forecasts and Call Over’s.
* Review management information, financial operational controls & processes.
The right candidate :
* Previous experience as an AFC in a hotel setting is desirable.
* Extensive knowledge of economics, accounting, regulations, and best practices.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficiency with industry software.
* IT skills include MS Excel and MS Word.
* Ability to collaborate and work well in a team.
