Assistant Finance Business Partner

Worcester
based with a balance of home and office working

£35,089 per year

35 hours per week – Monday to Friday – 9:00am to 5:00pm

Temporary position for up to 12 months

We are looking for an Assistant Finance Business Partner to join our Housing Finance team based at our office in Worcester. You will assist the Senior Finance Business Partner in coordinating and transforming the processing of financial and management account services to deliver efficiencies across the team and business. You will provide key stakeholders essential information to ensure value for money and to support decision making. You will also be required to complete complex financial analysis ensuring high levels of accuracy are met.

Using financial systems and processes, as Assistant Finance Business Partner you will ensure that the financial records of the organisation meet legal and regulatory requirements and actively look for process improvements, in order to drive team efficiencies.

The role of Assistant Finance Business Partner will include:

-Provide business information to key customers and stakeholders to enable effective monitoring and to support decision making
-Ensuring accurate reporting within timely deadlines and responsible for month end processes and procedures
-To maintain relationships with key stakeholders ensuring early detection of issues and shortfalls are addressed while providing a high level of service
-Preparation of journals including accruals, prepayments, and miscodes, confirming a robust audit trail is present
-Supporting the Finance Business Partner with day-to-day activities, including reconciliations, forecasting, budget setting, analysis, and ad hoc duties
-To effectively manage a direct report and support them in achieving their objectives
 

Skills and experiences:

-AAT qualification or working towards an ACCA, ACA, or CIMA professional qualification
-Strong Excel and analytical skills
-Experience of using financial systems e.g. SAP and BPC
-Recent and relevant experience in a management accounting function/role
-Proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads
-Ability to interpret written instruction and maintain accurate records
