Assistant Engineering Manager required for a reputable manufacturing company with a history of 80 years who are going through an exciting period of growth. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer looking for a company offering a clear route of progression into a managerial level role.

This role would suit a multi skilled engineer with experience working in an automated environment. Candidates from FMCG, textile or similar backgrounds are encouraged . Previous leadership experience is not essential and would suit someone looking to step up into a lead role.

The successful Assistant Engineering Manager will support the company’s existing Engineering Manager oversee the maintenance of automated machines, working predominantly with Siemens PLCs. This role will be a very hands-on role split approximately 50:50 between PPMs and reactive maintenance.

The company have recently invested heavily into their automation systems on site so you will be working with new equipment and support ongoing engineering projects.

The Assistant Engineering Manager Role:

A· Working closely with the Engineering Manager and deputising

A· Support overseeing a team of nine engineers

A· 50:50 PPMs and reactive maintenance

A· Budget responsibility

The Assistant Engineering Manager Candidate:

A· Multiskilled Engineer

A· Experience in an automated factory environment – FMCG, textiles etc.

A· Looking to step up into a leadership role
