You’ll work closely with the Director to drive initiatives that foster a supportive and dynamic workplace, serving as a trusted resource for our colleagues and a key contributor to the smooth, day-to-day operations of the Talent & Culture department.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Support & Talent Development
- Partner with the Director to identify and implement Talent & Culture strategies that align with Fairmont’s values and overall business objectives.
- Support the development and execution of innovative policies and programs in areas such as recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and career development, ensuring a seamless experience for team members throughout their journey.
- Contribute to creating a proactive culture that promotes career growth, employee wellness, and a positive work environment where all colleagues feel supported and valued.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee essential Talent & Culture operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and adherence to Fairmont’s high standards.
- Lead the administration of recruitment, performance management, employee relations, and compliance with local labor laws, maintaining accurate personnel records and clear documentation.
- Provide timely reporting and analysis to inform decision-making, contributing data-driven insights to support strategic HR goals.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Act as a key point of contact for colleagues across departments, fostering open communication and a respectful, collaborative atmosphere where each team member feels heard.
- Engage in colleague feedback initiatives, collaborating with the Director to implement programs and activities that enhance employee satisfaction, motivation, and a sense of belonging.
- Help organize and promote recognition events and team-building activities that celebrate achievements and strengthen team cohesion.
Policy Management & Compliance
- Assist in maintaining and updating HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with local employment laws and alignment with Fairmont’s best practices.
- Review and recommend policy adjustments based on evolving industry standards and organizational needs.
- Oversee external and internal HR communications, including recruitment ads and employee notices, to ensure they reflect Fairmont’s brand standards and professional image.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 9-10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 1-2 years in a management or senior HR role.
- Strong command of English (written and spoken), with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and excellent organizational and administrative capabilities.
- Strong leadership and relationship-building skills, able to inspire trust and collaboration across departments.
- Detail-oriented, results-driven, and professional, with a proactive approach to solving challenges.
- Adaptable and culturally aware, dedicated to fostering an inclusive and engaging environment for all colleagues.
