Currently based at County Hall, Loughborough Road, Nottingham, NG2 7QP with some opportunity for remote working pending the team’s relocation in early 2025DepartmentChief Executive’sInterview date24 July 2024Salary£27,803 – £31,364 per annumAdvert textIn this role you will support the Education Appeals Manager in providing an education appeals process to ensure that all relevant statutory requirements are met for both admission appeals and exclusion reviews and you will provide wider Democratic Services support to the team and county councillors. You will be working in partnership with the Assistant Democratic Services Officer (Civic Support Lead) in providing cover.With a minimum of one years’ experience in local government you will have knowledge and understanding of the framework in which local authorities operate; an understanding of the framework in which education appeals and exclusion reviews; an understanding of the role of Civic Heads (Chairman/Mayor) within Councils; and an understanding of the governance of the County Council and the role and responsibilities of county councillors.You will receive ongoing support and be encouraged to access learning and development opportunities, enabling you to develop your skills and knowledge during your time with us.For an informal discussion on the role please contact Sarah Davies, Education Appeals Manager on 0115 977 3037 or Sara Allmond, Advanced Democratic Services Officer on 0115 977 3794.
