U. z 2018 r., poz. 1668) and the statutes of the University of Wroclaw.Requirements:1. Excellent knowledge of English and/or German to teach in that language.2. Academic degree PhD.3. Documented scientific and didactic achievements in the field of political and/or social sciences (in particular in the context of the political system in Germany and Europe and German foreign policy, especially with regard to relations with Ukraine and Russia).4. Participation as a speaker at international conferences and seminars.5. Experience and contacts for cooperation between Poland and Germany.7. Organisational experience of international scientific events, in particular German-Polish conferences and seminars.8. Experience in preparing research project proposals.9. Achievements in international scientific work.Responsibilities at the workplace:In the research area:1. Willingness to conduct interdisciplinary research.2. Conducting research focusing on the political system and international relations of Germany and Europe, taking into account the latest research developments in German and international political science, in particular current issues of eastern German politics and the war in Ukraine.3. Research proposals preparation to German and European institutions.4. Production of expert reports (for students, doctoral students, journals, publications).5. Commitment to the internationalization of the Willy Brandt Center through publications and international projects.In the teaching area:1. Teaching on the political system and international relations of Germany and Europe, in particular on current issues of eastern German politics and the war in Ukraine.2. Supervision of students, mentoring.In the organizational area:1. Co-creation and implementation of German-Polish international projects of the Willy Brandt Center (including organisation of and participation in summer schools, international conferences, workshops and seminars).2. Organisational supervision of students of the master’s programme conducted at the Willy Brandt Center.3. Organisation and participation in study trips and international workshops for students.4. Supporting students and PhD students at the Willy Brandt Center in applying for scholarships in Germany and Europe; familiarising Polish students and PhD students with the German research landscape and preparing them for research stays in Germany.5. Willingness to commit to the aims and development of the Willy Brandt Center for German and European Studies of the University of Wrocław and therefore to move to Wrocław for the duration of the work at the Willy Brandt Center.The application for the competition should include: * Personal questionnaire of the person applying for employment (download
